Become a(God)Seeker
As Christian believers, stretching beyond our flesh to become a seeker of God has a major impact on our lives naturally and eternally. Every day our desire to seek “things” within this world grows. Our pursuit of education, wealth, prestige, and more helps us become favorable, improved, and renowned. The world loves our indulgence of such. Satan uses these very indulgences to entangle us. The hope is that we will excel, however, with all the profit of better such prestige means nothing if we don’t claim the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour.
“For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Mark 8:35-37, KJV)
As I delve into a period of exploration and study, I feel compelled to deepen my understanding of the God I serve. There is so much more to learn. A realm beyond our perception exists revealing the marvels of our God. People worldwide share a desire to discover these marvels, driven by different yet similar motives. Because of the
complexities of these wonders, our human minds are incapable of articulately digesting these spiritual things without the help of God. Our curiosity, however, grows compelling the need to uncover these wonders. We can only do this by learning about the Creator and the truth of His divine plan for the world. We must study, pray, and seek the face of God. Such actions take time and energy and require a spirit of perseverance. We must not be content with just knowing these wonders but rather strive to live a life that honors Him and His plan. Striving for excellence calls for pulling your resources to connect your findings to your purpose in life. This task speaks to our curiosity and exploration. The reality is our desire to learn more is the prerequisite to seeking after God.
Matthew 6:33 instructs us to “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” The life of a believer is already mapped out. Seeking after God should be a repetitive task and conquest. By following God’s Word, your path illuminates and creates a coherent compass that heightens your hunger and thirst for God. Each step is distinct and despite the challenges, His purpose becomes the reason for your pursuit. The struggle is chasing after a cause beyond ourselves to become aware of another’s way and will rather than our own. The process of seeking God is strict in its direction and focus. We are restricted by must apprehend the purpose of knowing God as our first assignment. For many, this means abandoning the long-found search for oneself. It’s easy to search out our purpose in the land of free fall. You’re only trusting your instincts and standards. Trusting in God’s Word brings clarity to uncertainty and peace to overwhelming situations. Your journey, with its unexpected twists, is ultimately in the hands of God. He knows the beginning from the end. This post aims to inspire a profound hunger and thirst to seek God—not for personal gain, but to live a life of godliness, obedience, and a living testament where man will see Christ.

HE IS THE WAY
Jesus is the way!!! Everything we’re looking for is in God. Because every thought, concept, goal, and opportunity comes before God and by His permission, seeking the Kingdom of God first is the standard. It’s the first order of business. When I claimed my status, as a daughter of the King, I realized I had the privilege to access beyond this world. Yes, I have access to the supernatural in my natural state. It’s not me, it’s the power of God in me. A fond scripture of mine is Matthew 18:18. It gives a first-hand account of our position, dominion, and authority here.
“Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
Here is a sufficient reason why Satan attacks our status! He works diligently at eradicating our name. If you can’t claim your victory (take possession of the victory), you won’t use your spiritual weapon (your tongue) to cast down his agenda. With God, my status overrides the status quo of this world. As a seeker of God, I seize my status, my place in the spiritual world, and my position in God. Not only is He the way, this is His way, and His way is my way!
A GREATER CAUSE
John 10:10 speaks to the fact that Satan wants to keep us in delinquent status. He is a thief and is in heavy pursuit of all that he can obtain. Seeking after God secures Satan’s desire to sift us as wheat (Luke 22:31). He wants to take whatever is possible (what God allows) from us so that he can attack God’s agenda. However, know God has already prayed for those seeking Him, that their faith won’t fail. Isn’t that just wonderful, God is already fighting on our behalf, even for the desire to be sifted. Why would He do that? Because our posture to seek after God is for a greater cause. As we continue in the process of seeking God and His Kingdom, there is a way of living (righteousness) that is appropriate for the believer. There’s a way of living that becomes natural. This is why living in contentment as a believer is so important (Philippians 4:11). Our ability to stand, becomes greater. Our strength and tolerance increases. The collaboration of strength, long-suffering, and contentment brings forth a soldier in God’s army. You are being all you can be! At this point, our spiritual dimension has enhanced, giving us the capacity to help others surpass this season of “press” (Luke 22:32).
AN EXAMPLE OF GODLINESS
Each individual burdened with the desire to seek after God has been drafted into the ranks, following His steps, taking on this responsibility of living as an example of godliness. It is known to God that “in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; forbidding marry, and commanding to abstain from meats which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature is good, and nothing to be refused…” (I Timothy 4:1-4a). These are just several examples of man’s error in this time. God knew we would need an example among us. In saying that, with the help of the Holy Spirit, we can live above reproach (living above accusations from those who know us best).
Obedience to God is not just for us. The importance of it in our lives goes way beyond our gain. Our obedience exhibits a lifestyle of holiness that others around us can see; for those who have access to us. I Kings 3:14 illustrates a wonderful example of this very thought. Solomon, the son of David, was called to obey the standards of God. He was given the call to action of stretching beyond to acquire the prize. If he kept God’s statutes, like his paternal leader, God informed him, that his request to live longer would be granted.
“And if thou wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as thy father David did walk, then I will lengthen thy days.”
The long-suffering nature of God evokes opportunities to live above sin. In addition, the ability to love mankind, even when we are face to face with our enemies. It seems impossible to do so with the natural mind, but God is love. Living in righteousness presents characteristics of God that seem unthinkable. The nature of God brings about the impulse to love not only our neighbors but strangers. Living as an example of godliness will bring righteousness, obedience, and love to the forefront of your very being. Seekers of the Most, Holy God inherit these attributes.
“For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.” (1 Timothy 4:8, KJV)
